Braid Technology

We don't cut corners. Every spool of Tasline braid is made with one goal: total confidence on the water. Precision, consistency and proof - not shortcuts. Tasline braid is made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), the highest impact-strength thermoplastic available. The process begins with spinning extremely fine micro-filaments, which are then precisely twisted using advanced ring-twisting machinery. The yarns are wound onto bobbins under tightly controlled tension before being braided on high-speed 8-carrier machines. Unlike most braids, Tasline uses a proprietary finishing process with no coatings, resulting in a smooth, supple line that delivers exceptional strength, abrasion resistance and knot performance.

Most braids are coated to hide imperfections. Tasline is left uncoated - natural fibre feel, superior knot strength, and no flaking or peeling.
