Tasline Spool Test Results - Find Your Breaking Strain

True confidence comes from knowing exactly what you’re fishing with. Every spool of Tasline is tested and given its own ID number. Enter yours below to view the verified breaking strain and full test data.

EVERY SPOOL. INDIVIDUALLY TESTED.

VERIFY YOUR LINE.

Every spool of Tasline is tensile tested before it leaves our facility.

HOW A SPOOL IS TESTED

THE MACHINE. THE PULL. THE BREAK.

01

THE MACHINE

A calibrated Mark-10 test rig fitted with precision-ground bobbins: no point friction, zero slip. Clamps and knots create artificial weak points that under-read a line's strength; the bobbins spread the load so the sample fails on the fibre, not the fixture.

02

THE PULL

The crosshead pulls at a constant, controlled rate while the load cell samples continuously: hundreds of readings tracing the full load curve. A smooth curve with no early slips is itself proof of a consistent weave.

03

THE BREAK

Because nothing slips and nothing binds, failure comes mid-line at the fibre's true limit, not at a grip edge. That recorded peak becomes the spool's certified breaking strain, published permanently under its test ID.

ON EVERY SPOOL TAG

SCAN IT. SEE IT.

Every spool ships with a numbered white tag. Scan its QR code with your phone camera — it opens this page with your test ID pre-filled — or type the ID in above. Peak load, rated class and the full load curve are published permanently under that ID.
